Anybody have a boilerplate rules and disclaimer policy for forums they would care to share?
That would be a useful addition to this page.

It looks like the user agreement is wrongly labeled. I think it is a privacy policy.

For Kady--- this is what we run on our forum pages:

CHAT ROOMS AND BULLETIN BOARDS: The website staugustine.com is the St. Augustine Record's electronic edition of its newspaper. The forums, bulletin boards and chat rooms on staugustine.com are provided by the St. Augustine Record to give our users a forum in which they can share information and express their opinions. Given the nature of the electronic newspaper and the volume of the messages and postings, the St. Augustine Record cannot monitor all of the material posted or transmitted by users and third party information providers. The St. Augustine Record is not responsible for the accuracy or reliability of any advice, opinion, statement, or information posted on these forums.

While staugustine.com does not moderate these bulletin board postings, staugustine.com does reserve the right to remove inappropriate content.

Hey Ken -
thanks, you just saved me and Yvonne a couple days of legalese writing.

On the note of chat rooms, how would one be able to use one at a newspaper site?

I am awaiting the fine tuning of the Alaska Star, at which point I will take over and maintain it, but was wondering how a chat would be used for such site.

Any ideas? :)
