Morris Digital Works' Calendar application is a solution that allows newspapers to enter and present community-based calendar(s) of events online. MDW's calendar application uses TimeLink, a Java client, to input the data directly to the database, and MTL (Morris Templating Language) to display and output the data. The tool provides multiple views, i.e., day, week, month, year and years. All listings are searchable.

Contact your Property Representative to let them know that you would like to implement mdCalendar on your site by creating a task via task tracker. They will install the MTL templates and schedule a training time to walk through the process.
Input Events: TIMELINK
MDW's calendar application uses TimeLink, a Java client, to input the data directly to the database. You will need to download and install the TimeLink client. Be sure to read the documentation for this client.
Output Events: MTL Templates
MDW's calendar application uses MTL (Morris Templating Language) to display and output the data. You will need to create a header and a footer file. The header and footer will be used along with the other templates that your Property Representative will install. The header and footer must contain absolute paths to images and links and will be used as the "wrapper" for the day, week, and month view. Speak to your Property Representative for more information on the MTL templates.
